ASYMCA is entirely self-funded through individual donations, corporate contributions, and a standing YMCA endowment that pays for our military programs and services in full. Except for contracts for services, ASYMCA receives no funding from the U.S. government.
While our services have increased by more than 150 percent since September 11, 2001, our overhead costs remain at a mere 13 percent — a number well below the 25 percent recommended by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the organization that provides oversight over the annual Federal Combine Federal Campaign (CFC). More than two-thirds of our funds are raised through internal efforts.
