S. Frank Gallo, RADM, USN (Ret.)
Admiral Frank Gallo
brings a 35-year history of military leadership to his work as national
executive
director of ASYMCA, an organization
he
has led for more than 10 years. Prior to his retirement from the
Navy in 1993, Admiral Gallo served as Deputy Chief of Naval Personnel.
Some of his previous positions include Commander of Fleet Air Mediterranean,
Maritime Air Forces Mediterranean and Maritime Surveillance and Reconnaissance
Forces, U.S. Sixth Fleet (CTF-67); Executive Assistant to the Supreme
Allied Commander Atlantic; Commander in Chief, U.S. Atlantic Command;
Commander in Chief, U.S. Atlantic Fleet; and Commander Patrol Wings,
U.S. Atlantic Fleet.
Admiral
Gallo has received a number of prestigious awards, including the
Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal,
Legion of Merit (2), Meritorious Service Medal (2), Air Medal, Navy
Commendation
Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Vietnamese
Service Medal, Philippine Presidential Unit Commendation, Vietnamese
Civil
Action Ribbon, and the Federal Armed Forces Commendation Cross in
Silver from
the Federal Republic of Germany.

Deputy National Executive
Director
Michael J. Landers, CAPT, USN (Ret.)
Captain Michael
J. Landers has served as deputy national executive director for ASYMCA
since 1999,
following his retirement from
the Navy in 1998.
Prior to his retirement, Captain Landers served as Deputy
Chief of Legislative Affairs for the United States Navy.
His distinguished Naval career includes assignments as Commanding
Officer, Naval Submarine Base Bangor, Washington; Executive
Assistant to the
Deputy Chief of Naval Personnel/Assistant Deputy Chief of
Naval Operations (Manpower
and Personnel); Detailer for the Bureau of Naval Personnel
in the Submarine Distribution Division; Commanding Officer,
USS ORTOLAN
(ASR-22); Executive
Officer, USS PIGEON (ASR-21); and Navigation System Operations
and Technical Evaluation Branch Head for the Strategic Systems
Project
Office in Washington,
D.C.
Captain
Landers has been awarded the Legion of Merit (5), Meritorious
Service Medal (3), Navy Commendation Medal (3),
and Navy/Marine
Corps Achievement Medal (2).
