Airport Courtesy Lounges

Open to Service Members & Military Families

Respite During Your Journey

ASYMCA’s Military Courtesy Lounges offer service members and military families safe places to rest while waiting for flights. Our courtesy lounges offer free internet, television, snacks, and comfort. ASYMCA of Alaska operates two courtesy lounges—one at Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage and one at Fairbanks International Airport.

Valid military ID is required for entry.

Program Details

Military courtesy lounges are open to all currently serving military, military dependents, and retirees who hold valid Department of Defense (DOD)-issued military IDs. Lounges are also available to active duty international allies. ID is required to access the courtesy lounges.

Courtesy lounges are child-friendly. Children ages 0–17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian over the age of 18.

Our courtesy lounges offer snacks, Wi-Fi, television, child-friendly spaces, couches, recliners, restrooms, and showers at no charge.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers make our courtesy lounges possible! Volunteers are needed to staff both our Anchorage and Fairbank lounges. Courtesy lounges can also be adopted by military-affiliated groups for two-week and one-month periods. Groups provide staffing for the courtesy lounge and receive an honorarium for their efforts.
