Armed Services YMCA of Alaska (ASYMCA) is a non-profit organization committed to Making Military Life Easier for our armed forces personnel and their families.  We pride ourselves on being a conduit for the gratitude and support Alaskans want to give to the military in recognition of their sacrifices and their service to our nation.  We are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 365 days per year; through the happiest, most exciting and joyful times as well as the saddest, most stressful and challenging times in military life.  We serve all branches of our armed forces in Alaska—active duty, guard and reserve—through our 8 locations throughout the state.  With our two welcome centers on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER), our welcome center on Fort Wainwright, our Teddy’s Child Watch offices at each military hospital on JBER and Fort Wainwright, our Thrift Store on Fort Wainwright and our two Military Courtesy Lounges at both Anchorage and Fairbanks Airports, we have the unique ability to reach a vast majority of our military in Alaska in order to guide them through our programs and services.

Our goal is to show support for the extra hardships and burdens associated with military life.  We provide opportunities to improve and enrich the military family bond, and we show appreciation for the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes and their families, and to thank them for their services.

If you are a military service member or dependent in Alaska, we invite you to learn more about how we can make military life easier for you in Alaska. Call us, visit one of our Welcome Centers, or sign up for our weekly e-mail to see what’s happening in your military community.
