Today’s Reader – Tomorrow’s Leader

lawton small

The Armed Services YMCA seeks readers who can write about why they love to read for the annual contest to promote reading among children and teens of active duty or retired military families. While students compete to win the generous savings bond prizes offered on a national level, our branch encourages our students to believe and succeed. Promoting literacy, the Altus Armed Services YMCA expands the contest by publicly praising and recognizing the achievements of those military children who spent the time writing an essay for this nationwide contest, and awards local prizes for all students who enter, as well as a certificate wherein they are recognized as “Today’s Reader – Tomorrow’s Leader!”
