Sunrise, Florida August 31, 2012 – In celebration of Labor Day 2012, Capitol Supply is kicking off a new “Like” To Give campaign in support of the Armed Services YMCA. This military charity was chosen, in part, because of its A rating on Charity Navigator – a charity rating organization.
For the month of September, Capitol Supply will donate $1, for each Facebook “Like” on its Facebook company page (www.Facebook.com/CapitolSupply), to the Armed Services YMCA – up to a total of $1,000.
Each year, the not-for-profit Armed Services YMCA runs more than 150 programs sites nationwide to make military life easier for nearly 500,000 junior-enlisted military personnel and their families. They deliver no-cost and low-cost programs and services through 33 Branches and Affiliates to help ease the challenges of military life.
Capitol Supply’s “Like” to Give Campaign is designed to help improve the quality of life for America’s military personnel and bring awareness to charities that are serving them and their families.
Robert Steinman, Capitol Supply’s CEO, hopes other businesses will find creative ways to both donate to charities and provide inspiration in their communities.
Many employees of Capitol Supply have family members in the military, so this charity project is personal and important to them. Several of these employees appear on the Capitol Supply Facebook page and discuss their thoughts about the project.
David Ostan, the company’s Vice President of Sales, formerly worked on quality of life initiatives on Air Force bases in Germany. According to David, “Military charities provide a valuable and much needed resource for soldiers and their families.”
Capitol Supply was founded in 1983 and is a privately-owned company based in Sunrise, Florida.
