Holloman AFB Single Airmen Program

There was an Airmen who came into the ASYMCA Cafe concerned about his friend who had been showing major signs of depression, had been drinking, and locked himself in his room. He did not want to talk to anyone. This Airman came in to the Cafe and expressed his concern to one of our regular volunteers volunteer at the Cafe. The volunteer quickly took action and spoke to the coordinator who then we called the Chaplain on duty. The Chaplain rushed to the room of the troubled Airmen to counsel and intervene before the Airmen could harm himself. One life potentially suicidal saved because of a young Airmen’s courage to ask for help in a location he felt comfortable and safe to do so, the ASYMCA reFUEL Cafe.
