Military Family Month

Military Family Month is held each November by Armed Services YMCA to salute our military families. This is a time for us to thank our military service men and women and to thank the families for their often unheralded dedication through many activities at our facilities.
One of the activities is the ASYMCA Essay Contest for children of active duty or retired military personnel families in grades 1 – 8. The children write an essay of 100-300 words for grades 1-8 and 300 – 500 words for grades 9-12. The topic “My Military Hero.”
Another activity is the ASYMCA Art Contest for children of active duty or retired military personnel families in kindergarten – 6th grades. The entry drawing will be about “My Military Family.”
