Operation Kid Comfort

Operation Kid Comfort is a program designed to serve the children of deployed service members.  The program addresses the emotional stress these children endure during a parent’s absence from home by providing an item of comfort.

Program Details:

Volunteers create photo-transfer quilts bearing images of the deployed parent and deliver them to children. There is no cost to the child for the gift. Our only stipulation is that the quilt stays in the hands of the child; it is not meant to be on display in the home.

Submit a Request:

All requests for Operation Kid Comfort must be processed online using our program registration.  Please note that after your request is submitted, the family must also email at least 9 photos for use in the quilt/pillow to our Program Director.

How to Help:

The ASYMCA is accepting experience volunteer quilters and donations to purchase materials for Operation Kid Comfort requests. Please follow our website links to donate or volunteer.
