Armed Services YMCA of Missouri (ASYMCA) is a non-profit, 501(c3) organization committed to Making Military Life Easier for our armed forces personnel and their families. We know that frequent deployments and change of duty stations can take its toll on the families and especially the children. We work to develop our programs to focus in the areas of Youth Development, Social Responsibility and Healthy Living. We pride ourselves on offering family oriented activities, open to all branches of service, and providing our junior enlisted servicemembers with the extra help they might need.

We have two locations to serve our military families- an office in the Army Community Service building (ACS- Bldg. 486), Fort Leonard Wood, and a larger facility at 403 School St., Waynesville.

We offer over 30 programs each month, most at no or low cost. These include programs for toddlers and preschoolers, literacy programs to prepare children for school, babysitting classes with CPR and First Aid, Warrior Writers workshops, Arthritis Foundation exercise programs, Zumba classes, teen programs, Operation Hero and Operation Kid Comfort.

Our goal is to provide support for the extra hardships and burdens associated with military life and provide opportunities to improve and enrich the military family bond. We want to show appreciation for the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes and their families, and to thank them for their services.
