We are a 120-year-old organization founded on Christian values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. We incorporate these values daily into all of our programs and activities. We strive to help military families reduce the daily stress in their lives, provide means for open communication with other military families, and make available to them the tools that will help make them more successful in coping with the complexities and uncertainties of military life. We began as the Army YMCA on Fort Monroe in 1889 and have since expanded to work in all areas of Hampton Roads. From Fort Eustis in Newport News to Fleet Training Center Dam Neck in Virginia Beach and all military facilities in between, we help military families with a variety of programs and activities.
