As outlined in the YMCA constitution and bylaws, the General Assembly serves to gather the movement and provide a forum for the exchange of information, for inspiration, education and celebration of the YMCA movement. Now held once every three years, thousands of YMCA staff and volunteers will unite July 18-21 in Philadelphia for this premier conference.
The General Assembly of YMCAs is the premiere celebration of the YMCA Movement in the United States. YMCA of the USA hosts the General Assembly every three years. This four-day conference features speakers and numerous educational workshops, as well as relationship-building opportunities for YMCA staff and volunteers.
The General Assembly is open to all YMCA staff and volunteers in North America and typically has 4,500-5,000 attendees.
