We had just completed a PCS move to Fort Sill and the movers put everything in our little apartment and plugged in our refrigerator. We had just enough money left over from the move for me to make it to the commissary to get the food we needed until next payday. When I got home and put our food into the fridge I noticed is wasn’t getting cold! The darn thing was broken! I called my husband who talked to his sergeant. His sergeant called the Armed Services YMCA. I got a call from Ms. Virginia who said not to worry. They had a refrigerator repair man on his way. I told her we don’t have the money for that! She said that was no problem that the ASYMCA Comfort Fund was paying for it. Wow! I want to say thank you to all the people who give to the Comfort Fund! If not for you I don’t what we would have been able to do! – Valerie
