ASYMCA Programs:

Y on Wheels
For six weeks every summer, the Y-on-Wheels program brings summer activities to military children ages 5-12 years old, to two of the local military housing developments. This program provides children time to play, make new friends and participate in the healthy outdoor activities while giving their parents time alone. This program is offered at Carroll’s Creek Landing in Smokey Point and Constitution Park in Lake Stevens

Military Family Appreciation Event – November 15 – Marysville YMCA
To celebrate our military families, each November we invite local military families to our facility for dinner, swimming, family activities and prizes donated by local businesses. This free event provides military families with opportunities to connect, learn and play together.

Military Kids’ Night Out
Open to military children of active duty service members, ages 2-10. Military Kids’ Night Out provides a safe, supervised environment for children of active duty service members to enjoy dinner, engage in fun indoor and outdoor activities, swim, snack time and movies. Parents can take the night off while their kids are entertained and supervised. Fees do apply. Please contact the branch for more information.

Before/After School Age Child Care and Summer Enrichment Camp
We provide licensed and COA accredited before and after school child care and camp programs to military families. Military families receive fee subsidy through Naval Station Everett. Our programs are offered to families in the Marysville, Lake Stevens, and Lakewood School Districts, M-F, 6:00 am – 6:30 pm. Our program provides parents with peace of mind knowing their kids are getting their daily dose of fun, homework assistance, character development, cultural enrichment, and fitness at on-site locations at their child’s elementary school. Care is provided for children in Kindergarten-5th Grade.

Community Swims
Community swims are an easy way to enjoy time in the water together. The themed events are free to all participants and are open to the entire community. Community swims are offered monthly on varying Saturdays, from 1-3 pm.

Rookie Sports Scholarships
Sports scholarships for military youth are given for those who qualify. These programs provide great environments for youth to learn basic skills and team work in a non-competitive atmosphere.

Greatest Need:
We would love to provide the Operation Hero program in the Lakewood School District. This after-school program targets children from military families, ages 6 to 12 years of age, who have been identified by school counselors and parents as exhibiting low self-esteem. Often these difficulties are caused by frequent moves and family disruption due to deployments. Curriculum is designed to help children handle the challenges of military life, provide tools to help them succeed in school, and help develop a positive self-image while improving social and communication skills.
