Day Out is the perfect opportunity to get your child outside and active this summer! The Day Out program offers single day trips for military youth ages 7-12. Your child will have the chance to make lifelong friends during these unique day trips to a variety of Southern California locations. Field trips will take place on Thursdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm and includes a day trip to either YMCA Camp Surf or the WorldBeat Cultural Center in Balboa Park!

HOW TO REGISTER:
Military youth ages 7-12 are eligible for the Day Out program . Active Duty Sponsor must be rank E7 or below and assigned to a San Diego based military instillation or San Diego based ship. Parents can submit an online application form from June 12th through June 28th. Families who are invited to participate will be notified via email by July 3rd and must register in person on July 18th or 19th. Families will be required to pay a $10.00 commitment fee at the time of registration. Family selection for the Day Out program will be based on a lottery system.
DAY OUT TRIP DATES:
Participants will be assigned to trips by the Armed Services YMCA staff. Request for particular weeks cannot be accommodated. This process ensures that trips are evenly distributed and we are able to serve as many families as possible!
