The ASY has partnered with the San Diego Food Bank to provide a monthly food distribution for qualified families in zip codes 92123 and 92124 (please scroll down for income requirements).

Food is first come, first serve for the first approximately 150 families who come and bring their own bag!

Armed Services YMCA San Diego NEX (Neighborhood Exchange) Participation Policy
The purpose of the Neighborhood Exchange is to provide military families with groceries that will help stretch their budget in a welcoming family friendly environment. In order to ensure that military families have equal access to food and raffle items we now ask that participants adhere to the following guidelines.
1. The core values of the Armed Services Y are honesty, respect, caring and responsibility. Participants should treat each other in ways that follow those values.
2. Armed Services Y staff will hand out tickets as soon as they are able. We will target 8:30, however, this may vary.
3. Participants may line up in the park to get tickets, and once they have a ticket may leave and come back for the start of the distribution at 10AM.
4. Participants lining up for tickets may NOT hold spots for friends in line who are not at the event or hold their own spot in line for tickets when they are not present at event by placing an item (chair, stroller, etc) in line.
5. All future giveaways will be conducted as raffle style lotteries as opposed to first come first serve.
We request that participants alert program staff regarding any questions or concerns during the event. Participants found in violation of these guidelines risk their participation in future Armed Services Y programs and events.
*Please note that the NEX schedule for the months of November and December are modified:
