After School Enrichment

ASY recognizes that after-school enrichment programs assist military children who face unique challenges due to the military lifestyle of frequent moves and parent deployments. They have a two-part program that take place after school  in order to achieve this. These programs are Operation Hero and Kids Care Club.

Operation Hero

Operation Hero is the first part to this after school enrichment program that provides mentoring, homework and reading assistance, as well as fun filled activities that explore military lifestyles in a positive environment for those in 2nd-6th grades. Classes are 10 weeks long and held at Condor and Twentynine Palms Elementary Schools.

Kids Care Club

Kids Care Club or KCC as it is called, is the second part of the after-school enrichment program. KCC is dedicated to developing compassion and inspiring a spirit of volunteering in military children. KCC promotes a healthy lifestyle and choices, enhances development, teaches social responsibility, improves their military and local community, and encourages a lifelong service ethic.
