Parent Child Interactive Programs
Recognizing parents are a child’s first teacher, ASY offers several classes to bring Military parents and their children together as a family. This is done through social and interactive programs with the objective to prepare the child for kindergarten. There are three separate classes that are part of the Parent/Child Interactive Program offered by the ASY. These classes are; Tiny Tots, Kinder Time, and Kinder Ready. Their descriptions can be found below. Classes are held Monday – Thursday during the school year at Bldg. 192.
Tiny Tots is the first class in the ASY Parent Child Interactive Program. Classes are designed for military parents and their children ages 2-3 years old, to foster a positive early learning experience for the child. This class offers social time, craft time, snack time, and activities that are led by a trained facilitator which are appropriately designed for their ages.
Kinder Time & Kinder Ready
Kinder Time and Kinder Ready are the next classes in the ASY Parent/Child Interactive Program. Classes are designed for military parents and their children, ages 3-5 years old, to foster a positive early learning experience for the child. Led by a trained facilitator, parents help guide their child’s learning in age appropriate activities that include the Pledge of Allegiance, learning their alphabet, social time, craft time, and snack time.
