Military personnel and families, as well as civilians, can connect and serve the military and local community by volunteering through the ASY Volunteer Program. Volunteers contribute their time, talent, and skills to promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through many opportunities and events. Volunteer hours are recorded and documentation is provided for military personnel volunteers and families. Letters of appreciation are always provided for Active Duty volunteers, and each volunteer can enroll to receive The President’s Volunteer Service Award. The volunteer program at the ASY is thriving, with 843 individuals volunteering at least once in 2013, contributing at collective 8055 hours.
