Volunteer Program

Military personnel and families, as well as civilians, can connect and serve the military and local community by volunteering through the ASY Volunteer Program. Volunteers contribute their time, talent, and skills to promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through many opportunities and events. Volunteer hours are recorded and documentation is provided for military personnel volunteers and families. Letters of appreciation are always provided for Active Duty volunteers, and each volunteer can enroll to receive The President’s Volunteer Service Award.

The ASY partners with a number of community organizations including the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and the Mojave Desert Land Trust to present several annual volunteer opportunities to the military community. These events include Salute to Heroes night during the BNP Paribas Tennis Open and an annual Earth Day Land Cleanup of Parcel 33.

The volunteer program at the ASY is thriving, with 947 individuals volunteering at least once in 2014, contributing at collective 9766 hours.
