Military Family Congressional Champion Awards
Each year, the ASYMCA presents the Congressional Champion Award to a United States Senator or Representative for his or her work to support America’s service members and their families. Past honorees include: U.S. Representative John McHugh of New York (currently Secretary of the Army) (2009 and 2004); Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas (2008); Representative John Carter of Texas (2007); Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina (2006); and Representative Gene Taylor of Mississippi (2005).
