This brand-new program encourages Alaskans of all ages to get outside and enjoy all that our beautiful state offers. 500 Hours of Play in AK is a self-paced challenge that runs January 2–December 31, 2023. Prizes will be awarded throughout! Open to all service members and military families based in Alaska. Registration is going on now.

May 21: Hike Meetup at Powerline Trail w/ Danika from Girl in Alaska and Derek from Looking for Summits (no charge; $5 permit fee or state parking pass required at trailhead. Must be registered for 500 Hours of Play.)
July 16: 3/4 Day Salmon Fishing with Chadwick's Fishing Guide Service & Danika from Girl in Alaska ($100/person; open to active duty female service members. Must be registered for 500 Hours of Play.)
July 16: 1/2 Kenai Sockeye Fishing with Mark Glassmaker from Alaska Fishing ($100/person; open to female spouses of active duty military. Must be registered for 500 Hours of Play.)
