This past Friday, August 30, 2019 the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg partnered with Fort Bragg Fire & Emergency Services to provide expecting families new car seats as well as installation instruction.
Military families were selected from ranks E-5 and below, who are currently in their second or third trimester. The Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg depends on the support of foundations, businesses, and individuals to provide financial support for the car seat giveaway. Friday's giveaway was made possible through a donation from The Fayetteville New Car Dealers Association.
Check out some of the feedback from Friday's participants:
“Thank you so much for this opportunity! It means so much to me and my family! By having this car seat giveaway it took a huge stress off of us! Car seats are not cheap and by not having to buy one, it helps us get the last minute stuff for our new arrival. The men and women at the fire station were really helpful and nice and even helped with the safety of my toddler's car seat. They took their times and answered all my questions. Thank you again!”
“Thank you all for everything again this was a blessing and my husband and myself learned a lot.”
“Thank you for the program today. It was incredibly helpful. I loved that everyone got to spend their amount of time, however they needed it. Especially if they had other children in the car and had questions and nothing felt rushed. This is a fantastic program. Again, I was happy to be able to participate.”
