Dear Families, Staff, Volunteers, and Supporters,
While our administrative office and programs are currently closed because of Governor Newsom’s stay at home order, we are continuing to support families in need through our TEAP program. TEAP stands for Temporary Emergency Assistance Program, and it focuses on providing immediate financial support for military families in the form of gas and commissary gift cards. Families are referred to us through their commands, DRCs/URCs, and other referral agencies on base. We are currently experiencing a large increase in need for this service as a result of COVID-19 and its economic impact on our military families.
As we work to address the evolving needs of the families we serve, we’ve witnessed a devastating loss of revenue. Bottom line, COVID-19 endangers our exceptional programs and services not only today, but also tomorrow. If you are in a place to help others right now, we would be honored to receive your support. Please go to asymca.org/camp-pendleton-donate if you would like to give back to our military families who are experiencing the negative consequences of this pandemic. Rest assured your support will stay local here at Camp Pendleton and will support those in need.
As we fight COVID-19 together, we will recover together. From all of here at the Armed Services YMCA Camp Pendleton, stay healthy, stay safe, and thank you so much for your support!
