Fort Bragg Updates - Week of April 6

April 6, 2020: The Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg remains closed to the public at this time. Official guidance given last week indicates at least through April 13th, however we are expecting to be closed for another couple of weeks at this time. So what does that mean for you?

For now, we are postponing all programs (except for the Food Pantry). Find out more below regarding specifics:

  • Operation Hero (Closed until school resumes)
  • Before and After School program (Closed until school resumes)
  • Operation Little Learners (Closed until school resumes)
  • Children's Waiting Room (Closed until Womack Army Medical Center deems this service safe to continue)
  • Operation Kid Comfort (Closed until ASYMCA Fort Bragg reopens to the public)
  • Bragg Worthy Gowns (Closed until ASYMCA Fort Bragg reopens to the public)
  • Baby Bundles (Closed until ASYMCA Fort Bragg reopens to the public)

Food Pantry

FB_FoodPantry_Corvias_April2DonationOur offices will remain closed to the public, however families in need of support will simply fill out an online form via this link. Once completed, the family will be contacted at the email address provided to confirm a pick up date and time along with specific pick-up instructions. Please note - families can request support one time per week by filling out the online form each time.

Families will receive pre-bagged items from the pantry based on their families size. While we wish we could take into account every person’s specific wants, we need to operate effectively to serve our military families. Families in need of diapers or formula will be able to make those requests via the online form.

There are three key ways you can show your support via donations during this time. 1) Please consider donating to the Armed Services YMCA program of your choice online at 2) Consider mailing a donation to the Armed Services YMCA's PO Box at: 439 Westwood Shopping Center, FB 430 Fayetteville NC 28314. or 3) Donate items at the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg's office by scheduling an appointment with Michelle at

We often are asked what items are most needed right now. For our Food Pantry the following items would be appreciated: Peanut Butter, Pasta and Sauce, Mac and Cheese, Cereal, Oatmeal, Rice, Canned meats (Tuna and Chicken), Canned Vegetables, and Canned Fruits. For our support of those in quarantine, the following items would be most appreciated: Individually wrapped snacks (candy, granola bars, pudding packs), snack size Ziploc containers, small puzzle books (crossword, word find, etc.), and sodas/Gatorade/other flavored beverages in individual containers (no 2-liters).
