Dear Armed Services YMCA Supporter,
I am pleased to report that the first half of 2021 was a very strong start in our efforts to support military families, and that momentum continues. Despite the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19, we have continued to offer low-cost child care programs, food support, supplemental educational programming for military children, and so much more. While we cautiously prepare for a return to “normal” as we move into the fall, the Armed Services YMCA continues to meet the highest quality standards for participant and staff safety through social distancing, increased handwashing protocols, and enhanced cleaning measures.
I am also honored to share that The Armed Services YMCA has retained the highest possible charity ratings for non-profit organizations from GuideStar, Charity Watch, and Charity Navigator. We are committed to fulfilling our mission of serving military families and upholding industry best practices.
