Dear Armed Services YMCA Supporter,
I am pleased to report that the first half of 2021 was a very strong start in our efforts to support military families, and that momentum continues. Despite the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19, we have continued to offer low-cost child care programs, food support, supplemental educational programming for military children, and so much more. While we cautiously prepare for a return to “normal” as we move into the fall, the Armed Services YMCA continues to meet the highest quality standards for participant and staff safety through social distancing, increased handwashing protocols, and enhanced cleaning measures.
I am also honored to share that The Armed Services YMCA has retained the highest possible charity ratings for non-profit organizations from GuideStar, Charity Watch, and Charity Navigator. We are committed to fulfilling our mission of serving military families and upholding industry best practices.
Today, I want to share with you our 2020 Annual Report, highlighting the services we provided military families last year as well as key financial and supporter information. You can review the report directly by visiting our Financials page on our website here. If you have any questions about the work we are doing, please do not hesitate to contact us. We value your support and your feedback.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of military families.
William D. French, Vice Admiral, USN (Ret),
President and CEO, Armed Services YMCA
