Your Donations at Work in Fort Hood
As the rates of spousal unemployment hit new highs this past year, disproportionately affecting military families, The Armed Services YMCA has been doing incredible work to provide food security to military families. From drive-through food distribution at our El Paso and San Diego branches, to food pantries at our Alaska, Fort Bragg, and Hawaii branches, the ASYMCA is ensuring our military families have ready access to meal support.
Recently, our Killeen branch joined a community effort to provide the soldiers of Fort Hood with a much-appreciated gift of food. Watch the video, or visit the local Fox news affiliate to get the complete story.
“Without two incomes, I think we all know it’s difficult to run a family. Difficult to take care of a family like you’d like to. And this is part of our way to help those families get through some challenging times,” says CEO of the Armed Services YMCA, VADM William French.
