November 21, 2019: Please help us to officially welcome the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg's Executive Director, Jack Clevesy! Jack joined the team in early August and has hit the pavement to make a difference in the lives of military families at Fort Bragg.
My Name is Jack Clevesy. My wife Andrea and I reside in Sneads Ferry and North Topsail Beach NC. I am a Veteran of the USMC. I possess a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Colby Sawyer College and a Master’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College in the School of Human Services, of which I successfully defended my thesis work focusing on childhood obesity. I am recognized and certified by the YMCA of the USA as a Senior Director/Organizational Leader.
My background includes strong skills in strategic planning and implementation, annual operational planning and implementation, health and wellness goal obtainment, membership engagement, public relations, membership cultivation and retention management, program development, board development and recruitment, facility operations, and extensive experience and success with all aspects of fundraising and volunteer recruitment.
Throughout my YMCA career, I have been responsible for developing corporate and community partnerships/collaborations and coalitions. As a result, I have had the great fortune of collaborating with local community partnerships, national agencies such as the CDC and YMCA of the USA for the purpose of focusing on the promotion of positive lifestyle behaviors through the achievement of successful implementation of sustainable public health policy, systems and environmental changes.
Why Jack chose to leave his beach house and fantastic wife during the week to work with the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg:
My reasoning at this point in my YMCA career in deciding to come to work at the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg was/is to be able to serve and strengthen the lives of the military families on Fort Bragg. My vision/goal for the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg is to define and expose the multiple opportunities the Armed Services YMCA has to offer the community that we serve through being authentic, transparent and making sure our efforts are sustainable.
If you have not had the chance to meet Jack, please give us a call at 910-436-0500 and schedule a meeting! He would be pleased to share his vision and enthusiasm to support military members with you.
