Thursday, March 19 2020: The Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg and The American Red Cross at Womack have teamed up to offer support to military personnel who are in isolated quarantine at Fort Bragg. Both organizations have mobilized to understand the immediate needs of individuals quarantined and are working together to ensure physical, mental, and emotional health needs are met.
Since Monday, the American Red Cross at Womack and Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg have provided personal hygiene items, water, snacks, clothing, activities for entertainment, and more. "A number of individuals are quarantined in areas without wifi access or television. It is hard to stay mentally and emotionally well when you are isolated, bored, and lonely," said Cindy Taylor, Service to the Armed Forces Manager for the American Red Cross.
If you are interested in supporting efforts, please contact Michelle Baumgarten, Associate Executive Director of the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg, at 910-436-0500 x27 or via email at email@example.com.
