December 9, 2020: From the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg
Registration for Operation Hero, an after-school program for military children in grades 2-5, is now open!
Operation Hero designed to help students address the unique challenges they face, such as frequent moves and deployments. Trained facilitators create a safe environment for students to express emotions, receive academic and emotional support, and connect with peers experiencing the same challenges.
This program tackles a new theme weekly ranging from deployments, emotions, teamwork, and more. This program is offered at no-cost to military children and space is extremely limited due to Covid-19 restrictions.
This January we have TWO sections of Operation Hero:
- Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg (2-2411 Rodney Trail, Fort Bragg), runs January 9 through March 17 every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-6:00 pm. Transportation not provided.
- Students will attend Hoke Reading/Literacy Council and participate in Op Hero virtually! Runs January 11 – March 17 every Wednesday from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Transportation not provided.
This is not a drop-in class, those who register should plan to attend each class. Pre-registration required. Register your child today at: https://www.asymca.org/fort-bragg-home then click on the "My ASYMCA" tab, then select Operation Hero.
