“We Care: Focus on Military Families” is an incredible program put on by the Assistance League of Palm Springs Desert Area. Their annual baby shower honors expectant mothers who are either active duty military members or military spouses stationed on the Marines Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California.
On Wednesday, February 20th, twenty-five first-time, moms-to-be arrived at the beautiful Indian Wells Country club to attend a Baby Shower luncheon in their honor.
Ladies from the Assistance League gathered at tables throughout the venue to love, shower, support, and offer advice to new moms as they begin their new season of life as parents.
Tables featured an adorable diaper-cake centerpiece, handmade by Assistance League members. Our expectant mothers were overwhelmed by the abundance of gifts that lined the room. Each mom was gifted a playpen, full layette, handmade blankets, books, gift cards, and many more essential baby items to outfit the nursery.
On behalf of our Expectant Mothers, the Armed Services YMCA – 29 Palms wants to THANK the Assistance League of Palm Springs Desert Area, the “We Care” committee, and all of their amazing donors. Your generosity and love for our military families is truly appreciated.
