As we're learning how to navigate this new world of social distance, homeschooling and no playdates, we find ourselves looking for non-traditional ways to stay connected to our community. With all our programs being closed for the rest of March, we are REALLY missing everyone. It hasn't even been a week yet, and we are already nostalgic for noise and fun and creative play with our friends!
But we've got a new mission during this time... and it comes with a challenge... to stay connected to our military family in Hampton Roads while schools and programs are closed. We've come up with some fun ways to challenge YOU, and we'll post them on our social media accounts every weekday at 9AM. So make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter at @ASYMCAHR or Instagram @ASYMCA_HR to see daily challenges, and post pictures of you rising to the challenge. We can't wait to see what you are up to!
We know our military family knows how to rise to a challenge!
Our first challenge was to find evidence of spring popping up around us. We found some really amazing signs of spring already and posted those on our page. You can join any post at any time. If you find signs of spring tomorrow - go ahead and post those photos! We want to see them! Make sure you use the hashtags #risetothechallengeASYMCA and #myASYMCAfamily so we can find your posts. We'll even be sharing some of your posts on our page! We're so grateful to have such an amazing community to miss, and we are SO looking forward to seeing you RISE TO THE CHALLENGE!
For more information on what we're doing during this time, visit our page for Program Updates and Community Resources related to COVID-19.
