A Return to Our Roots with Veteran Roasters Coffee
The Armed Services YMCA was born on the battlefields of the Civil War when dedicated volunteers organized to provide comfort and aide to American troops on the front lines. Our iconic Coffee Wagon was instrumental in providing comfort to war fighters, allowing YMCA volunteers to produce vast amounts of food and hot coffee for weary and wounded troops.
In 2021, the Armed Services YMCA celebrates 160 years of continuous service. In recognition of our Civil War roots, we are honored to partner with Veteran Roasters, a veteran-owned craft coffee company whose mission is to employee transitioning military veterans and give them a supporting environment while roasting some great coffee.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bag of Battlefield Blend goes to help the ASYMCA’s mission of strengthening our military family. This specialty roast, created for Armed Services YMCA by Veteran Roasters Coffee, is a well-balanced, medium roast blend, with good body and rich chocolate notes.
