ARMED SERVICES ARTS PARTNERSHIP offers amazing classes in comedy, writing, storytelling, and other art forms. These classes are always free and open to active duty, retired, and dependents. They have moved a TON of their classes online. They're also hosting some virtual comedy shows and storytelling opportunities.

CNO'S READING PROGRAM is a reading program with information on what to read, how to download e-books, and how to advance reading about different topics. 

CRISIS TEXT LINE is the free, 24/7 text line for people in crisis in the United States. Simply text HOME to 741471 to be paired with a Crisis Counselor.  The organization is powered by volunteer Crisis Counselors who work remotely—anywhere with a computer and secure internet connection works. Training is roughly 35 hours and then you can start taking conversations. You can volunteer up to 12 hours/week and they ask for a minimum of 4 per week. You set your own schedule. 

MILITARY ONE SOURCE has a great list of resources specific to COVID-19 in addition to their normal resources.

NAVY GENERAL LIBRARY PROGRAM is all online powered through the Overdrive app with a variety of audiobooks and Kindle books. You have to verify your status and then you'll get a login. 

NAVY MWR MID-ATLANTIC REGION has put together an awesome resource guide here. So many great resources for adults and kids too.

PELOTON is offering a free 30-day membership right now. They have SO MANY classes to choose from - yoga, dance, strength training, etc - and they don't need ANY equipment. 

YMCA 360 is access to online workout videos you can do at home. 


OPERATION LITTLE LEARNERS has gone virtual! This online session includes twice-weekly videos, printables, and activities that can all be done at home! You must register to access the content.

CAMP HELLO BELLO is a free resource for parents to find engaging videos for their kiddos throughout the day. 

DISNEY IMAGINEERING IN A BOX is a partnership with Khan Academy to offer a free online program and a one-of-a-kind learning experience.

FOOD OPTIONS FOR KIDS DURING COVID-19 - has put together a list of community resources for student meals while schools are closed due to COVID-19.

IEP/SPECIAL EDUCATION - managing IEP's and educational resources for special needs children is made all the more complicated when schools are closed. A Day in Your has a variety of resources to help.

TUTOR.COM is fully equipped to handle the increased demand during this time. They provide online tutoring and homework help for the U.S. military and their families 24/7 for no cost.

TYNKER is the #1 coding program for kids and they're offering a free trial.

UNITED WAY OF SOUTH HAMPTON ROADS - The United Way of South Hampton Roads is stepping up to lead the coronavirus response effort and assist families in need in Hampton Roads.

VIRGINIA BEACH LIBRARY is offering virtual programs and digital library cards. To get a digital library card, call 757.385.0150 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information on all the library programs in Hampton Roads, visit My Active Child.
