Armed Services YMCA San Diego Programs

NEIGHBORHOOD EXCHANGE FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Families who meet Federal Income Requirements gather in the park at San Diego Armed Services YMCA headquarters to stock their cupboards with groceries. This event is fun filled thanks to support from active duty volunteers and members of the San Diego Community who come out to show their appreciation of military families.

We have partnered with the San Diego Food Bank to provide a monthly food distribution for qualified families in zip codes 92123 and 92124. Food is first come, first serve for the first approximately 150 families who come and bring their own bag!

  • January through October = 4th Thursday of the month
  • November + December = 3rd Thursday of the month

10 am to 12 Noon

ASYMCA Paul Hartley Complex
3293 Santo Road, San Diego, CA 92124

Donations are always welcome!

Our Food Pantries are always accepting donations of food, toiletries, and other basic necessities. Donations can be dropped off at any ASYMCA office near you. If you are not able to access our facilities, please let us know! We’ll be happy to come pick up your donations.

Please note this is an income based event. Please be sure to review the Federal Income Requirements for eligibility. Military families do not need to include BAH. If you live in another zip code, you can go one time out of area or please click here for other EFAP sites. Please note, families are only able to attend one San Diego Food Bank site per calendar month, which means they cannot go to Neighborhood Exchange and Miramar Food Locker in the same calendar month.
