OUR STAFF

Meeting the highest standards

Our summer camp and before/after care counselors are professional role models, carefully selected. They are mission- and safety-minded individuals.

All staff are required to pass a rigorous background investigation, and also must maintain current first aid and CPR qualification.

Each staff member must meet strict Armed Services YMCA qualifications, which meet and often exceed licensing standards. These include:

  • Following Armed Services YMCA Care Administration guidelines
  • Passing a criminal background check and Child Protective Services check
  • Participating in multiple training and certification programs, including infant/child CPR, First Aid, prevention/recognition of child abuse, OSHA blood borne pathogens, child development, curriculum planning and licensing regulations.
