Operation Hero is a program for military children in elementary school. This beloved program is designed to address challenges faced by many military children including feelings of isolation, self-doubt, frequent or long-term deployments by one or both parents, and academic difficulties due to frequent moves.
Operation Hero promotes social responsibility through team-building activities. A dedicated facilitator takes time to interact with children on a one-on-one basis as well as in group settings. This method is believed and proven to be the key to Operation Hero’s success.
Operation Hero will not meet during Fall Break, October 12-15, and Thanksgiving Break, November 25-26.
