Fall 2020 Preschool Registration: Registration for Fall 2020 preschool classes are open! CLICK HERE to learn more about ASYMCA Hawaii's early childhood education programs. Fall classes begin on August 3, 2020. Class size will be in accordance with state and federal health guidelines and masks will only be worn when physical distancing is not possible. Please note that we are preparing for August 3rd with your child and our staff's safety, sanitation, and virus mitigation in mind. Summer Day Camps Begin Next Week: Our series of summer day camps at the JBPHH Branch begins Monday, June 22, 2020. Participants will adhere to health, sanitation, and safety protocol. There will be no more than 10 students per classroom and masks will be worn when physical distancing is not possible. Upcoming summer camps are as follows:
• June 22 - June 26: Robotics Camp Session 1
• June 29 - July 2: Enrichment Camp Session 1 - Finding the Lost Colony for Roanoke (Geography & Social Studies-focused curriculum)
• July 6 - July 10: Robotics Camp Session 2
• July 13 - July 16: Enrichment Camp Session 2 - Unmasking the Video Game Bandit (Math-focused curriculum)
• July 20 - July 24: Enrichment Camp Session 3 - Case of the Missing Cookie (STEAM-focused curriculum)

Ohana Food Drop Distribution: We will resume standard Ohana Food Drop distribution procedures starting this month. No more drive-thru distributions with pre-bagged items. Guests will park their cars, wait in line (6 ft. between groups), and use provided plastics bags to select the items they want. Please leave your reusable shopping bags at home or in the car. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. If you cannot wear a mask but would like to pick-up food, please contact the branch directly to schedule a separate pick-up time.

2020 Preschool Graduation: Congratulations to all 2020 graduates! This week, all ASYMCA Hawaii Branches held graduation ceremonies for students moving up to Kindergarten in the fall. Students picked up graduation certificates at designated time and physical distancing procedures were followed. Momentary exception were made during photo-taking with caution. Children's Waiting Rooms (CWR) Reopen on June 1: CWRs at Tripler Army Medical Center and Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic (Schofield) will reopen with enhanced sanitation protocols and physical distancing on Monday, June 1, 2020. Health screening protocols will also be in effect; please allow for an extra few minutes to check-in your child. Childcare is for up to 2 hours. `Ohana Food Drop Adjustments: Next week's `Ohana Food Drop events at our WAAF and JBPPH Branches will operate under heightened safety and sanitation precautions. Food items will be pre-bagged. WAAF's event on 23 March will require attendees to stand in line with a 6ft. distance between each group. JBPHH's event will be a drive-thru distribution.

Spring Break Extended: In keeping with our base commanders’ guidance, Spring Break is extended for all Armed Services YMCA Hawai`i early learning programs including PlayMorning, Early Learning Readiness, and Parent Participation Preschool – Pueo, Honu, and Nai`a classes.
