CARS -- a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based out of San Diego, California -- was founded in 2003. CARS soon began accepting vehicle donations to help other nonprofits raise extra revenue. What began as a company of just a few employees accepting around three vehicle donations per day, has grown into a well-respected leader in the car donation industry.
CARS accepts most cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RVs, motorcycles, off-road vehicles, heavy equipment and other motorized vehicles. Donating is easy and can be done over the phone as well!
Help the Armed Services YMCA help your neighbors by selecting CFC#11085. Our programming is designed to help junior enlisted and their families overcome the unique challenges of military life. Not everyone understands what it means to move every 2-3 years, or to deploy every 18 months. Let your donation help those that are near by, your shipmates, your battle buddies, your friends.
For more than 150 years the Armed Services YMCA has been Strengthening Our Military Family. These young heroes don’t get paid much, and many struggle to provide the basics for themselves or their families. They are voluntarily serving and sacrificing daily so we can enjoy our freedoms and way of life. With shrinking defense budgets, troop and family programs are being cut at every military installation.
In close coordination with installation commanders, the Armed Services YMCA tailors our programming to fill the highest priority gaps with low and no-cost programs and services including child care, hospital assistance, counseling, emergency food and clothing assistance, education programs, as well as family, youth and teen programs.
