The group met to discuss how the ASYMCA provides services to the American military and how YMCA Finland might provide similar services to the Finnish military.

Common Goals:

YMCA Finland hopes this trip to the United States will provide insight into how YMCA Finland can better work with European YMCAs to develop new models of cooperation to support and improve the welfare of children and youth who are connected to the Finnish military. YMCA Finland wishes to be part of a solution where NGOs, state officials, municipalities, and church organizations cooperatively work toward the betterment of Finnish society.

Truly a noble goal! And in keeping with the movement that is the Y!
