This November 3rd, Armed Services YMCA is teaming up with Care.com to provide free drop-in child care for those looking to go to the polls and fulfill their civic duty. Parents can drop their kids off at a participating location and go cast their ballot.
Why offer free child care? Because the men and women of the military literally swear an oath to the constitution and voting is a key right enshrouded in that document. As a core part of our mission, we believe that access to child care should never prevent a parent from seeking employment, health care or in this case, participating in our National election. We are grateful to Care.com for their partnership and shared commitment to this mission.
How does it work?
Contact a participating location to find out how to reserve your spot. But don't wait! First come, first serve and these slots are sure to go fast. Then on November 3rd, drop your little one off while you go to the polls.
